Thankfulness and Thoughtfulness

I am thinking more and more about how to live life with two things are the forefront of my mind and behaviors.   How do I live with a spirit of total thankfulness and with thoughtfulness.

  1.  I think these two things are missing from much of our world.   Thankfulness is the simple act of recognizing how blessed we are even when our life feels difficult.   What can I find to give thanks for each day (I actually keep a written record of this).  I try to give thanks to God, to the people around me, to those I meet and create a simple attitude of thankfulness.   SO many people – in Welland, in my office, in our country and the world would give up all they have and know to experience my life.  SO I am trying to focus not on what I am missing but what I have been given – and to live with a thankful spirit.  I am hugely thankful for each of you!

  2. Thoughtfulness – how can I live life in away that is thoughtful – reflective – slow enough that I can take the time to really think things through and be consistent, and values driven.  So much information (some good, some bad, some accurate, some not) comes at us.  A trick to life these days is slowing it down enough that one can reflect on it.   Keep what is helpful, interesting, etc and ignore the rest.  I am trying to live life with thought. Not just react to the latest news, tweet, tiktok, rumor, etc.

So there is what I am pondering these days.  There is actually a bit more… or a lot more… but this seems to be the one that is recurring the most.  Thankfulness and Thoughtfulness.
